EURASIAN FASHION WEEK and the European Institute of Design (IED) have announced the finalists of the international Fashion For Future 2025 competition.
On October 23, Almaty will host the final of the FASHION FOR FUTURE (FFF) international competition for young designers, organized in collaboration with the European Institute of Design (IED) in Florence, as part of EURASIAN FASHION WEEK Spring–Summer 2026.
The main prize of the competition is a grant to study at the IED Fashion School in 2026. Winners will also receive cash prizes, the opportunity to take summer courses at IED Florence, participate in EURASIAN FASHION WEEK 2026, and complete an internship at one of Europe’s leading fashion houses.
The theme of this year’s competition is “Future for Crafts: Fashion Codes of the Past.” Participants will present two looks — one for men and one for women — using upcycling and craft techniques such as patchwork and quilling. The final round of the competition will take place on October 23 at Koktobe Hall (Almaty).

EVALUATION CRITERIA
Competition entries will be judged by a jury according to the following criteria:
- Relevance of the idea, pret-a-porter style;
- Originality and creativity of the design;
- Application of sustainable design principles;
- Technological and design quality of the work.
